    The Annapurna massif and surrounding area are protected by Nepal’s first and largest conservation area, home to the Annapurna Circuit, one of the most beautiful treks in the world. The Annapurna peaks are historically the most deadly of the 8000ers—it holds the highest fatality to summit ratio. Only experienced athletes commit Annapurna ascent.

    The highest peak in the Annapurna massif. Technically is called Annapurna 1. Annapurna is the 10th highest mountain in the world and was the first 8000m peak to be climbed. The mountain has glaciers on its western and north-western slopes which drain into a great gorge cut through the Himalaya by the Kaligandaki River. The normal route is approached from Manang side.

    By plane or car from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Trecking to Galeshor – Tatopani – Ghasa - Lete and River side – Jangle Camp - Miristi Khola - Annapurna North Base camp.
