    Tien Shan is the third highest mountain range in the world. Characterized by the presence infrastructure and a large number of described routes. 2 of 5 peaks of the "Snow Leopard" list (conquest of all seventhousanders of Central Asia) are in the Tien Shan. This mountain system is also attracts by more than 20 mountains higher than 6,000 meters and a height of 80 peaks from 5000 to 6000 meters.

    The third highest mountain system in the world (after the Himalayas and Pamir). Attracts climbers with plenty of peaks above 6,000 meters. Well researched mountain tourists - described more than 900 routes. Access to the different mountain ranges made from different countries. This complicates the process of obtaining of permits. There are several tour companies, through which you can make all the necessary documents. The mountain system consists of mountain ranges that stretch in the latitudinal direction (except for Longitudinal ridge), and is divided into the Northern, Western, Eastern, Central and Internal parts. The central part of the system is known for its two highest peaks Pobeda (7439 m) and Khan Tengri (6995 m). Northern Tien Shan is better explored by climbers and is very popular among the Central Asian climbers - there are several alpine camps.

    Mountain ranges is located in Central Asia, where the borders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan meet. Tien Shan lies to the north and west of the Taklamakan Desert and directly north of the Tarim Basin. In the south it links up with the Pamir Mountains and to north and east it meets the Altai Mountains of Mongolia.
