    The Peruvian Andes are visited due to their wide range of hiking routes where the most famous are "Trekking to Machu Picchu" and "Trekking in the Cordillera Huayhuash". But besides of hiking routes there are more than a dozen amazing snow-capped sixthousanders towered by the Huascarán (6746 meters). The Alpamayo (5957 meters) is considered one of the most beautiful mountain in the world and a well-known Peruvian hallmark.

    Peruvian Andes are the mountain range that is a part of the Central Andes. It is located in Peru and extends from north to south along the Pacific Ocean. The Peruvian Andes are divided into three major cordilleras - Cordillera Oriental, Cordillera Occidental and Cordillera Central. Peruvian Andes are famous for their sixthousanders the most part of these have an alpine type of relief. The highest peak here is the Huascaran, towering at 6746 meters above sea level. Hikers and tourists go to Peru mainly due to the climbing to Alpamayo (5957 meters) and the world-famous hiking routes - "Trekking to Machu Picchu" and "Trekking in the Cordillera Huayhuash."
