    Barisan mountain range, 1,700 km length, are located in the western part of the Indonesian island of Sumatra and stretches across the entire island, continuing with the chain of volcanoes on the islands of Java, Bali, Nusa Tengarra and East Timor. Also there are the mountains on the islands of Borneo, Sulawesi and the Moluccas.
