Full description

The ascent from the north is perhaps the most picturesque of all the routes to Elbrus. From the very beginning of the road, you will see an incredible picture - a view of a separately standing snow-white giant, in the midst of blooming fields. Landscapes are constantly changing and will surprise you until the end of the journey. There are no lifts or hotels on the north side. It's not easy to get there, the roads pass along steep slopes. Therefore, the nature of the northern Elbrus preserved its untouched appearance and before today's climbers there is practically the same picture as before the participants of the first expedition to the summit of Elbrus under the direction of Emmanuel more than 180 years ago.

All the way to the top, we go "on our own two", this is an "honest" route, without snow groomers and lifts, unlike the southern one. But more severe, requiring not bad physical preparation and endurance. But this is real mountaineering. This is an ascension, which you can really be proud of! In addition, the route is very picturesque, more wild in comparison with the southern side.

Day 7

Day 7. Storm of the Eastern peak.
The Assault Day lasts a long time, so we plan to exit at 00:00. As a rule, we come to the top at 10-12 o'clock in the afternoon.
During the ascent, the group makes two stops for a snack (lunch), at an altitude of 4800 m and 5100 m. In addition, every 40 minutes we make short stops to rest.

For the strongest and hardest ones, wishing to commit more than the climbing of Elbrus Mountain, our company proposes to make a climb to BOTH of the volcano's top, to the West and East of Elbrus on the assault Day. The decision about the intention to make a "cross" the participants shall give in advance, before the assault day, but only the leader-guide of the group makes a decision about your participation in the double ascent. The final decision is taken at the top of West Elbrus proceeding from:
-Your health;
-States of other members of the group;
-Weather conditions.

Double ascent is made through a saddle (5300 m) and is accompanied by a leader-guide. It is carried out on condition of reaching the Western peak before 10:00 of the whole group. Participants not admitted to double ascent descend from the Western peak to the upper hut at 3800 m with the second (third) guide.

Important! In the matter of security conditions, from 14:30 the movement of all participants is carried out only downhill.
