Climbing from the south is the most popular choice among climbers who have challenged themselves and nature: to climb the famous mountain. Annually thousands of people from around the world reach its top. The developed infrastructure, the availability of well-maintained bases, hotels, cable cars makes climbing Elbrus from the south accessible to any person. In addition, modern equipment and machinery are coming to help the climber (ascent to 4800 m can be carried out by a snowmobile - snow tractor). And the experience of local rescue services and Mountain Territory guides provides a high level of safety during the ascent.
The cost of climbing includes all the necessary services, except for lunches and dinners in the days of residence "below", on the Cheget meadow since the area of the hotel "Snow Leopard" offers many cafes / restaurants with local cuisine. Our guides will give you recommendations on this matter.

- Rent of a snow groomer (snow tractor) on the day of the ascent for lifting from the upper hut 3800 m to the Pastukhov rocks (4600 m). The cost of renting a snow groomer: about 35,000 rubles and it is divided equally among all passengers of the snow groomer. The use of a snow tractor on the night of ascent significantly saves forces and time (about 4 hours of ascent), thereby increasing the chances of successful ascent.

Day 1
Day 1. Meeting at the airport of the city of Mineralnye Vody. Transfer to the Elbrus region, departure from the airport at 14:00. Check-in at the "Snow Leopard" hotel, Cheget meadow (2100 m above sea level), acquaintance with the guide. Briefing. Easy walk around the neighborhood. Overnight at the "Snow Leopard" hotel.

Day 2
Day 2. Acclimatization exit / ascent at 3100 m.
The climb is carried out to the waterfalls of the Maiden Braids and the observatory of the RAS (3100 m).
At the end of acclimatization and return to the hotel: checking and selecting equipment. Missing equipment is available for rent. Overnight at the "Snow Leopard" hotel.
Hiking acclimatization exit, drop: 1000 m
Time of ascent / descent: 6 hours

Day 3
Day 3. Acclimatization exit / ascent at 4200 m.
At 9:00 the group rides on the cable car to the upper station "Gara-Bashi" (3,750 m). All the necessary things, personal and public, are also delivered on the lift.
Accommodation in the upper hut at 3800 m. The next days the group lives here and from here the decisive storm of the mountain is carried out.
After allocating in the hut and a light snack, an acclimatization exit / ascent to the Shelter 11 (4200 m) takes place. Snow training takes place, moving in crampons, working with a rope, working out self-deterrence with an ice ax on a snow-ice slope are conducted. The night in the hut at 3800 m.
During snow activities, the guide will share his experience with you and teach you how to walk properly, with what tempo and tact. This is a special technique that will help you save up to 20% of energy!
Transfer from the "Snow Leopard" hotel to Azau (the lower station of the cableway): 15 minutes (auto)
Ride on the cable car, drop: 1100 m

Day 4
Day 4. Acclimatization exit / ascent at 4800 m.
Morning exit to the Pastukhov Rocks, up to a mark of at least 4800 m. Lunch - lunch box. Descent, discussion of safety issues in the mountains. Dinner. The night in the hut at 3800 m.
Hiking acclimatization exit, drop: 1000 m
Time of ascent and descent: 6-7 hours

Day 5
Day 5. Day of rest. An easy walk around the neighborhood is recommended.
Early ”lights out”, because the assault is tomorrow!

Day 6. Day of the ascent. Early wake up and light breakfast.
Two possible tactics of assault.
1. Ordering a snow groomer (Snowcat) to climb from the upper hut (3800 m) to the top point of Pastukhov Rocks (4700 m), then on foot. This tactic can significantly save time, effort and increase the chances of success. Rent of a snowmobile with a capacity of 8-10 people is paid separately and costs approximately 35,000 rubles when you climb to 4700 m. Exit (departure) to the route at 4:00 am.
2. In case of refusal of snow groomer, at the request of members (at least 3 people), we can make an attempt to climb on foot from the top of the hut (3800 m), at no extra charge. The climb is carried out by a mini-group (at least 3 people), accompanied by a "second guide", the ratio of guide / customer: 1/3. Departure to the route is at 0:00, 4 hours before the main group. In the area of the oblique shelves (5100 m), the mini-group meets the main group and then follows as part of a single group.
Important!
-in case of a walk from the upper hut. In case of failure to ascent due to poor health or other reasons, one of the members of small groups, the other participants that are assigned to a "second guide" also obliged to descent to the upper hut (3800 m). In this case, when descending from a small height (less than 4500 m) retry in this day is possible during the descent to the hut before the time of the exit (departure) of the main group, mini-group is attached to the main group.
-If mini-group make a foot out from the top of the hut (3800 m) has fewer than 3 people, you should use the services of personal guide (for an additional fee).
Exit to the top usually takes place at 10 - 12 o'clock in the afternoon.
Descent from the top takes about 5 hours.
For the strongest and hardest ones, wishing to commit more than the climbing of Elbrus Mountain, our company proposes to make a climb to BOTH of the volcano's top, to the West and East of Elbrus on the assault Day. The decision about the intention to make a "cross" the participants shall give in advance, before the assault day, but only the leader-guide of the group makes a decision about your participation in the double ascent. The final decision is taken at the top of West Elbrus proceeding from:
-Your health;
-States of other members of the group;
-Weather conditions.
Double ascent is made through a saddle (5300 m) and is accompanied by a leader-guide. It is carried out on condition of reaching the Western peak before 10:00 of the whole group. Participants not admitted to double ascent descend from the Western peak to the upper hut at 3800 m with the second (third) guide.
Important! In the matter of security conditions, from 14:00 the movement of all participants is carried out only downhill.
Dinner. The night in the upper hut at 3800 m.
Depot by a snow groomer, drop: 900 m.
Hiking gaining of altitude (in case of depot by a snow groomer at 4700 m): 940 м.
Hiking gaining of altitude (in case of ascent on foot from 3800 m): 1841 м.

Day 7
Day 7. Reserve Day.
If weather is unfavorable on Day 6, this day is used as a backup for the ascent. The night in the upper hut at 3800 m.

Day 8. Descent from the upper hut at 3800m (by cable car). Transfer to the hotel.

Day 9. Transfer to the airport. Flight home.

* Day 8 can, as the guide decides, be used as an additional reserve Day (second reserve day) in case of bad weather in Days 6-7. In this case, climbing takes place on Day 8, and descent from the upper hut at 3800 m is carried out in the morning on Day 9.
In case of successful ascent on Day 6, you can go down from the upper hut at 3800 on Day 7. In this case we will provide you with an extra night in the "Snow Leopard" hotel for an additional fee. And on Day 8 you can make horseback riding, excursion to the famous Chegem waterfalls, fishing.
