A guided climb to KY2 (6250m) in Ladakh Himalayas

Acclimatisation section

1. Day 1 Arrival. Rest. Hike around town if up to it.

2. Day 2 Hike around town. Team meeting. Sorting gear.

Approach section (CS - campsite)

3. Drive from Leh to Road head. Short trek to

First campsite. CS1 (about 3400m)

4. Trek.. CS1 to CS2 (3700m)

5. Trek from CS2 to CS3 (4150m)

6. Trek from CS3 to KY2 Base Camp

(5000m)

Climb component.

7. Rest day - acclimatisation hike to high camp.

Training day

8. Move to high camp – 5600m or so. Training.

Rest

9. Early morning. Summit attempt.

10. Reserve day (training day in case of summit

on day 7)

Retreat Section

11. Hike over gongmarula (5200m) to CS4

12. Hike to terminal trail head. Drive to Leh.

13. Fly out.

Price includes

1. full support (qualified guide, helper, cooks, ponies)

during expedition.

2. All meals during trek and climb

3. Accomodation in tents on twin / triple sharing basis

4. Mountaineering skills instructions sessions

5. Side excursions in case we don’t utilise the reserve

days

6. Central equipment for the whole group (ropes,

anchors etc)

7. Personal equipment such as boots and crampons can

be arranged. (Will try to include it in the cost… )

8. Transportation to and from the roadhead.

9. Transportation to and from the airport.

10. Miscellaneous… eg if you don’t have a good

sleeping bag or whatever… I’ll try my best to arrange

NB: while I’ll try my hardest to roll in the cost of (personal) equipment and apparel. Ill let you know if you must pay for it. It is preferred you have your own gear and apparel. But if you don't, I'll do the best I can to arrange rentals.
