It is located 180 km east of Ulaanbaatar. To reach the lake, it is possible to get nearer to the lake, but it is possible to reach the lake on foot or by horse riding because it is surrounded by mud and mountains. When reaching the beautiful lake it is surrounded by forest, it is truly natural pristine beauty. One of the most beautiful places in Mongolia would have moose, deer, brown bear, wolf, mink, and many other wildlife. When we go to this beautiful place, there are swamps, large rivers, large mountain streams, and barren trees. Please do not be surprised to find snowing weather during the summer months in this area.
Important things to remember
Crossing the river several times, nature barriers that will face so you need to be prepared physically and personally. It’s a day walk from morning to evening. Please carry your own luggage, the kitchen and tents will be loaded on the horse. A person who would want to ride a horse all the way on the trip rather than walking would need to rent a horse.

At 06 am, We will drive to lake. On the way visit to herder family in Erdene village of Central province. From there, take a horse to load your items and walking to the lake. From the last point where cars can not go further, loading the sleeping bags to the horses, you may need to carry your small bag with you. own things. Then walks about 12 km to the Tuul river and stay there overnight.
Day 2
Day
After breakfast and starts the walk. It will take about 20 km to reach the Khagiin Khar Lake. Lunch break is on the way. Please take your lunch, drinking water and personal items.
Day 3
Day
A trip to the Saridagiin monastery ruin. After breakfast, to the monastery ruin. Please take personal items and drinking water. Return to the camp, it will be total of 17 km walk.
Day 4
Day
Leisure day around the lake.
Day 5
Day
After breakfast, take down the tent. Heading back to where came from and stay overnight near near Tuul river.
