Triglav is (not) easy to climb, but it depends on your experience. It lies in the heart of Triglav national park, one and only national park in Slovenia. Triglav 2864m (9,396 ft) is the highest summit in Slovenia – mountain range Julian Alps. It is obligation of every Slovenian to climb Triglav once at least. You can be the one climbing Triglav summit as well. Join us hiking in Slovenia.

Hiking equipment is essential. Please consult with a mountain walking leader about the equipment, physical state/ experience and the rest in advance. In case of bad weather or any other dangerous conditions the hiking trip can be cancelled or rescheduled.

Triglav hiking programme:

Day 1: We start hiking to Triglav early in the morning to avoid afternoon thunders and hot weather in summer. Starting point is Krma valley 920 m. We continue our way up via Zgornja Krma pasture 1720 m to Triglav hut on Kredarica 2515 m. It is the highest Slovenian hut and meteorological station with nearby chapel. Rest. Overnight stay at Kredarica. (6 hours of easy hiking)

Day 2: Early start of climbing easy via ferrata to Mali Triglav 2725 m and continue along the ridge to Aljažev stolp on Triglav 2864 m. Congrats to everyone for becoming real Slovenian. Descend to Planika hut 2401 m. After refreshing we continue easy way back to Krma valley. (6 hours of hiking)
