A satellite peak of Fitz Roy, is one of the best
objectives to try for first time in the area. There are
different lines depending on the time of the year,
weather conditions and the preferences of the climber.
The west face consist on golden granite rock worth
touching. Comesana/ Fonrouge rout involves 400
meters up to 5.11 and a final snow field of 30 degrees
to the summit,
On the other hand the east side present more snow
and ice conditions. The Amy couloir is a classic one
and the easiest way to climb this peak, 200 meters of 65 degrees. It joins the Fonrouge 150 meters
below the summit.
Roberto Treu “Indio” is originally from the province of San Juan where he found his passion for the mountains. He climbed many different peaks along the Andes, as well as in Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, France, Spain, Germany Italy, Austria and Switzerland. Since 2006 he has lived in Patagonia where he has climbed important climbs and new routes in both the Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy mountain ranges.
