Everest View Trek starts with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. After a brief stay in the Kathmandu Valley, the trip begins. Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

The trip begins with the arrival in Kathmandu. Our team representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) from where you will be taken to the hotel.

Day 2: Full Day Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu Valley by private van.

After a fulfilling breakfast at the hotel, our tour expert will meet you in the hotel premises. He will give the highlights of the day that includes the places the group is visiting and their brief history. Our comfortable office van will take the group around the valley stopping by for lunch and dinners at authentic, local Nepali eateries.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Lukla 2840m by Flight and trek to Phakding 2610m/3-4 hours walking.

After a scrumptious brunch at the hotel, the van will pick the group up for their departure to Lukla via domestic flight. The majestic views and adrenaline rush is a combination that one encounters while reaching the beautiful destination at 2840 m, Lukla. After a brief rest, the team will trek for 3-4 hours to a small village in the Khumbu region, Phakding situated at an elevation of 2610 m.

Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar 3440m/5-6 hours walking

On the fourth day, the team will walk for about 5 to 6 hours to reach the trading hub of Khumbu Region, Namche Bazaar. Located at 3440m, Namche Bazar is the Gateway to the high Himalaya.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day and Hiking to Everest View Hotel and Khumjung, Khunde village:

To avoid altitude sickness, it is very important for people to be accustomed to the conditions of high altitude. We will walk to Everest View Hotel for the panoramic and spectacular view of the majestic mountains followed by the exploration of Khumjung village which is the biggest Sherpa village in the region. The old monastery located here is one of its major attractions also because of the Skull of Yeti put out to display. The trek continues to Khunde village where we stop for lunch and brief rest. We descend back to our lodge in Namche Bazaar for the stay.

Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche 3860m/4-5 hours walking

The day begins early for us as we continue our trek in the trail that leads us to Kyangjuma village which is about 2 hours far from Namche Bazaar. We descend down to the beautiful Dudhkoshi River crossing suspension bridge and observing beautiful landscapes like never before. Post lunch, we have a steep trekking route to encounter to reach the destination of the day, Tengboche which is situated at 3860m. If we reach here right on time (in the evening), we will be able to witness spectacular views of the mountains.

Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Pangboche 3930m/2-3 hours walking and excursion to Amadablam Base Camp 5-6 hours walking

Passing by Rhododendron forests and suspension bridge, we reach Pangboche village after a brisk 2-3 hours walk. After lunch here, we can take an excursion to Amadablam Base Camp located at 4600 m. Ama Dablam that stands 6812 m high is one of the beautiful mountains in Everest Region. We stay overnight at Pangboche.

Day 8: Trek from Pangboche to Phortse 3810m/3-4 hours walking

The last destination before walking back to Lukla is Phortse. Phortse is a Sherpa village at an elevation of 3810 m where we reach by climbing to upper Pangboche and moving southward along the route. The rocky terrain with patches of scrub junipers offers a leisurely walk giving the good view of the Imja Khola Valley. Phortse Gompa, a monastery built using traditional techniques is situated at the top of the village.

Day 9: Trek from Phortse to Namche Bazaar 3440m/5-6 hours walking

We leave Phortse in the morning post breakfast and take the downhill route through the forest to the bridge. We then pass by the ridge of Mong-La, this patch of the trail is steep and about 1 and half hours long, passing through the pine forests. After lunch, we head down to Kyangjuma, a settlement located at 3620 m. A walk for another two hours and we reach Namche Bazaar.

Day 10: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla 2840m/6-7 hours walking

Early today, we leave for Lukla through the trails through pine trees and bridge over Dudh Koshi River. In about 2 and a half hours we reach Jorsalle. We trek down further, crossing bridges to reach Phakding, where we stop for Lunch. After lunch, we trek further up and down the trail for about 2 hours to reach Lukla.

Day 11: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

After a good breakfast, we board the plane for roughly fifty minutes long flight to Kathmandu. This flight enables you to get bird’s eye view of the Himalayas. The group will be picked by our private van to drop at the Hotel. The dinner is planned at Nepali Restaurant.

Day 12: Final Departure from Kathmandu

The 12-day long trip comes to an end today. After a good, heavy breakfast, our team representative will have a brief session with you all. He will inquire about the trip, how well it went and suggestions that should be taken into consideration. After the session, he will accompany you to the airport by our private van three hours prior to the flight schedule.

I am Ashta Lama. I am 31 Years Old young and energetic man. I am a Government licensed holder (5383/2009) Mountain Guide of Nepal. I have been working as a trekking Guide since 2001 AD in Swiss Family Treks & Expedition P. (Ltd.). During the time, I have been working only in Nepal and guiding the tourists independently. I am from the beautiful village of Sarsyunkharka, (Near the Namobuddha where The Lord Buddha sacrifices his body to hungry Tigress and its cubs) Kavre Palanchok District, lies on 65 km east to remote area where schools and hospitals are only accessible by walking on a long distance. I have been studying in Bachelor’s in Business Studies. I know very well about Trekking / Mountains and also huge knowledge about independent trip management. I am intimately familiar with all local castes and customs along the trails and will share you many cultural insights that are not covered in any Guide or from any Guide books. I am really Buddhist person and I know more information about Buddhist Culture however, I respect other religion equally. You may even learn many Nepali phrases with me.
