Elbrus Mountain in Russia is the highest point of Europe (5642 m) and included in "7 Summits" and "7 volcanoes" alpinist programs.
Group ascending to Elbrus is the simplest way to begin your climbing resume, but one should mind the weather conditions and go through acclimatisation process properly.
I am a IFMGA/UIAGM - KMGA certified mountain guide and in my climbing portfolio are Himalaya in India and Nepal, Karakoram in Pakistan, Patagonia etc.
I'm glad to introduce you to walking, mountaineering, climbing or skiing in such a regions as Caucasus (Russia), Georgia, Crimea.
Russia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Elbrussky District
Arrival
We’ll meet at the Mineralnye Vody airport and transfer you to Terskol. We’ll spend the night in a hotel.
Mount Cheget
On our second day, we’ll have an acclimatization hike to Mount Cheget (3,770 meters).
Azau
We’ll go to Azau and take a cable car to the starting point of the climb, at 3,700 meters of altitude. Then, we’ll check-in at the mountain hut.
Acclimatization day
On day 4, we’ll have an acclimatization ascent. We’ll reach 4,700 meters and then return to the hut.
Mount Elbrus summit
On this day, we’ll reach the summit of Mount Elbrus. The ascent will take us around 8 or 9 hours and then we’ll return to the hut.
Terskol
We’ll return to Terskol and enjoy the rest of the day off.
Departure
We’ll transfer you to the Mineralnye Vody airport and say goodbye.
