Mount Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya and the second-highest in Africa (5,199 m; 17,057 ft), after Kilimanjaro. Most of the peaks on Mount Kenya have been summited. The majority of these involve rock climbing as the easiest route, although some only require a scramble or a walk.
The satellite peaks around the mountain also provide good climbs. These can be climbed in Alpine style and vary in difficulty from a scramble to climbing at UIAA grade VI. They are useful for acclimatisation before climbing the higher peaks and as ascents in their own right.[

Location
Kenya, Nyeri County
Day 1
Arrive in Nairobi - Transfer to village of Nanyuki - overnight stay in hotel.
Day 2
Transfer to national park gate - 3 hour trek to the first camp, Meteo station - overnight stay in hut.
Day 3
Full day trek to next camp, Mackinder's Camp - overnight stay in hut.
Day 4
Half day trek to Austrian hut, where we will spend the night.
Day 5
Ascent Lenana peak (4,985m) for acclimatization - return to Austrian hut for the night.
Day 6
Climb to Nelion (5,188 m) and Batian (5,199 m) - descend back to Austrian hut for the night.
Day 7
Descent to Meteo station - overnight stay in hut.
Day 8
Extra day in case of bad weather conditions.
Day 9
Descent to park gate - transfer to airport - fly home.
