Manaslu Tsum Valley trip is recently open Tea house trek in the high Himalaya. This is combination of teahouse and Home stay trip. Trekker who would like to hike in the Himalaya for more than three weeks and love nature, mountain scenery and wildlife excursion, this is perfect. Trekking Manaslu Trek could do just Camping organize trip last three years ago but there is basic Teahouse entire trip now a days.
Mostly, you will stay in Lodge and having food same place (Dhal Bhat=main Nepali food, Fried rice, Bread, Boiled and fried eggs, Potato, Noodles, porridge, tea coffee tec.) But if you visit Tsum Valley area, this is home stay trip (where you can have the food there at someone house and provide accommodation). If you have time, I would like recommend you Tsum Valley too; which is itself restricted area and open since 2007.
This trip is combination of cultural and religious, which is a unique trip among numbers trekking trail of the Nepal. As this is recently open Tea House and Home Stay trip, there is just basic facilities entire trip. But now days it has been building several tea house and guest house.
For Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek; you need minimum 2 people in a Group for this trip. And require special permit for the Manaslu Restricted Area (provide by only Government Register Trekking agency) and at list you need one Government License holder trekking Guide. And as this is a restricted area trip, you need 5 different permits, which are following below:
[I] MCAP (Manaslu Conservation Area Project) Trekking,
[II] ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) permits,
[III] Manaslu Restricted Area Trekking Permit
[IV] Tsum Valley Restricted Area permit).
[V] TIMS Card (Trekkers Information Management System)
While organizing those permits (restricted area permit), the immigration office asking for your Nepal visa which must be validate entire trip and original passport with 4 copy of PP Size pictures each of you. So, normally it is not possible organized all your permits before your Nepal arrival, according to Nepal immigration rule.
Regarding, porter; of course, if you are able to carry all your bags why you spend money for the porter. But you will find your trip huge difference using porters and not. Some time while you carrying your bags by own, you may miss some exclusive picture shut or cannot fully enjoy such a beautiful nature. So, I also would like recommend you, if your budgets will able support, than it will be batter to hire a porter to fulfill you dream in real. You have great contribute to provide job for a jobless porter who are real victim of Earthquake. This will support for his family and his school children for bright future indirectly.
You can extend or make shorten the trip as you wish. We are happy to offer the services as have requested; whether it is a package or just the Guiding and porter service. I assume, you quite fit for this trek. The mountain scenery is stunting and unique live hood of High Mountains are really interested. This trip will bond us with local people to seek their culture, tradition, belief have been centuries.
