Tourism
Tourism is one of the largest industry in Nepal which is generating an enormous amount of revenue. In other words, we can say that the largest source of foreign exchange in Nepal is tourism. It brings approximately USD 471 million and many people are being employed. The leading reason for aggravating poverty in Nepal is tourism. There are lots of enjoyment possibilities for the broad-minded people in Nepal. Some examples are Trekking, Mountaineering, rafting, rock climbing, mountain flight, sightseeing, bird watching, cultural heritage visits, flora and Fauna and so on. Trekking: One of the major reason tourist visits in Nepal is Trekking. Tourist can experience the combination of Nepal’s natural beauty along with the authentic Nepali culture with people lifestyle while in the trekking. Sideways hiking with rhododendron forest, watching the splendid view of mountains, Eating the typical Nepali food and communicating with kindhearted Nepal people will be the inimitable experience for tourist and most probably they cannot get this combo even they spend 1000’s of a dollar in another part of the world. Although trekking can be done throughout the year, October and may is considered as the best time for trekking in Nepal. The monsoon begins in mid-June and ends around mid-September which makes trekking unfavorable because it makes travel wet and warm. The enchanting views of the mountain may not be seen because of the clouds haze which obscures the mountains and other beautiful scenery which can be overserved from the top of the hill. For tourists who prefer quieter time and less crowded on the trail, it is the perfect season for them. Historical sites. Within the 7 km radius, Kathmandu has 7 world heritage sites (Bouddha Nath, Pashupatinath, Changunarayan Temple, Kathmandu durbar square, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar square and shyambunath) which cannot be found anywhere in the world. Because of this cause, Kathmandu is also known as the city of the temple. Museums in Kathmandu have an innumerous collection of different archeological items of 1000 years back and of the present. As Nepal is the land of festivals and colors, tourist can witness the diverse cultural scenery of Kathmandu and people of Kathmandu
