    Ascent to Cerro Bonete is a unique opportunity in safe and easy way to touch and share the unique atmosphere of the big high-altitude expeditions. All the way up to the base camp Plaza de Mulas, located at an altitude of 4 250 meters, you will go side by side with members getting ready to climb Aconcagua. And the additional bonus is a unique view from the Bonete summit to the snow-capped peaks of the Chile-Argentine Andes and the highest peak of both Americas - Aconcagua.

    Cerro Bonete is a trekking peak which situated above Plaza de Mulas - the Mount Aconcagua base camp. As a rule, the ascent to the top of Bonete is done by climbers to improve their acclimatization before the ascent to Aconcagua. But overall Bonete can be a goal itself for those who are not ready yet to try their hand at Aconcagua but want to touch the unique mountaineering spirit and culture. The way to the base camp Plaza de Mulas is the same as the "Normal Route" to Aconcagua.

    Cerro Bonete is located in the Andes mountain range, in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, and lies 112 kilometres (70 mi) northwest of its capital, the city of Mendoza and 15 kilometres from the international border with Chile.

    Flight to Mendoza International Airport (Argentina). Take a car or bus to Puente del Inca or Penitentes. The entrance to the Aconcagua Provincial Park is at Puenta del Inca near Penitentes.

    You must go to Mendoza (Argentina) to get your climbing permit and fill all necessary forms in person. Permits are sold at SUBSECRETARÍA DE TURISMO only. Address in Mendoza is på San Martín 1143. It's pretty close to the to Plaza Independencia. The permits can not be bought either at Puente de Inca or Punta de Vacas. Anywhere inside the park, the permit or the receipt may be required to be shown.
