Dear friends, my name is Sergey Kofanov and I’m a professional mountaineer and adventure guide. When I started Mountain Planet in 2013, it was only a free collaborative encyclopedia about mountains and routes. As time went on, my project became the global Alpine Community, connecting outdoor enthusiasts and adventure guides around the world. We have grown to over 60,000 community members sharing stories, ideas, images and videos — but we need to do more to fill the void of discovering new places.
