Climbing is suitable for those who have never climbed the mountain so high, but wants to get this experience. This is the best choice because there are generally moderate slopes, no really technical sections and the objective dangers are close to non-existent. Due to this factors some climbers claim that Cho Oyu is the easiest 8000 meter peak (if anything over 8000 meters can be called easy!). Its relatively easy access makes it an attractive climb for someone with limited time, as it can be attempted in roughly 6 weeks round trip.

There is also a route from the Nepalese side, used less frequently. The peak is the sixth highest in the world. It’s very popular among the climbers. Many companies organize expeditions here.
