    The highest mountain in the world Mount Everest has the shape of a three-sided pyramid with the most deprived snow steep southern slope. From the South Everest connected to Mount Lhotse (8516 m) with the South Col (7906 m), sometimes called the South summit. From the northern side North Col (7020 m) connects Mount Everest with Changzhou (7543 m). From the east side Steeply to the east impassable east wall Kangashung (3350 m). Mount Everest is covered with glaciers, ending at an altitude of about 5 km.

    Located in Himalayas, in the ridge Mahalangur-Himal (in the part called the Khumbu Himal), 160 kilometres from Kathmandu. South peak (8760 m) lies on the border of Nepal and Tibet Autonomous Region (China), North (main) peak (8848m) is located on the territory of China.

    Tibetan side. The flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa, then by car to Shigatse (3900m). Next with the car to Xegar (4200m). From there the car to the Base Camp. Nepalese side. By far the majority of climbers heading into the Khumbu region take the short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and hike in from there.
