Since 1880 there was an opportunity to get to the top with

pendulum cable car, which consisted of two large wagons,

was destroyed by eruption in 1944.

 

In 1953, on the eastern slope of the mountain the chair lift was

built, and quickly gained the same popularity as its predecessor,

but the earthquake in 1980 damaged it so that it was not
