    This peak is #22 on the Height List for British Columbia . This peak is #6 in Prominence List for British Columbia. The challenging, long alpine ice and snow ridges of Sandford provide an excellent introduction to Grade IV climbing on big peaks. The routes on Sir Sandford demand the physical commitment and efficient movement of a serious mountaineering route. Weather, acclimatization and strategy will be important. Mount Sir Sandford, has several natural zones: rain forest, snowy forest and no forest. On its slopes you can find rare and endangered species of plants and animals, such as reindeer.
