Semien Mountains

Those who can deal with a lack of comfort during the African journey will find friendly and indomitable people, unspoiled landscapes of the «Roof of Africa», without great number of tourist opposite to Kilimanjaro area. The landscape of these places reminds Drakenberg mountains and fabulous lands from Tolkiens’s fairy tails. In some places, the escarpment forms small elevations that offer splendid natal lookout points. The spectacular views from the observation points at Gidir Got and lmet Gogo in the centre of the Semien Park offer unparalleled panoramas along the high plateau and down to the lowland areas.
