DESCRIPTION

The Sawatch mountains in general are high, massive, and

relatively gentle in contour. The range contains 15 peaks

topping 14000 ft (4267 m).  While some peaks are rugged

enough to require technical climbing, most can be climbed by a

simple, yet arduous hike.

LOCATION

Sawatch range is located in the heart of Central America, in

southern part of the Rocky Mountains in the state of Colorado

and close to the famous ski resort of Aspen.
