The Boland (Upper lands) Hiking Trail is a famous overnight hiking route in the majestic Hottentots Holland Mountains of the Western Cape, South Africa. One can spend from 1 to 4 nights and 5 days hiking in this fabulous natural environment! Many mountain peaks here rise over 1200m, with Snowpeak sitting at 1590m. We start at about 400m above sea level and climb up to 1100m to our mountain hut.
All along the route you are exposed to the Cape's famous and fabulous Fynbos vegetation and majestic geological formations. Animal life includes a variety of birds, antelope species and the possibility of finding tracks and evidence of the elusive Cape Mountain Leopards. There are also lots of opportunities to do some rock scrambling and climbing for the adventurous.
Gantouw Tours is offering an educational guided hike of this trail for 2 nights and 3 days. Come and explore this unique and fabulous geological setting and Fynbos ecosystem with us!
Transport is available for 4 guests from Somerset West, or can be arranged if needed otherwise.
