Day 1
Arrive in Timika
You need to take a flight that arrives in Timika in the morning. Our staff will pick you up at Mozes Kilangin airport and transfer you to the hotel. You may have a small rest before we go out for lunch at a nice cafe. After lunch, we will go to the immigration office to arrange permission.
We will give you a welcome dinner and a brief about the climbing after it.
Day 2
Timika - Yellow Valley (4,250 m)
Fly in the morning to Yellow Valley using a chartered helicopter for about 30 minutes, then we will build our campsite. After that, we’ll do acclimatization.
Day 3
Acclimatization day
Today we will have a climbing training at the lower part of the Carstensz wall. We will climb about 3 pitches.
Day 4
Summit day
We will start at 4.00 am. First, we will follow the path until we face the Carstensz Wall. Then we will start climbing the fix ropes. There are several places which are pretty flat, where we can have stop for drinks and snacks. Around 9 AM we will reach the summit ridge. We will cross the gap using the 3 wires bridge. We continue to follow the ridge and two hours after reaching the summit. Then we'll climb down to Basecamp for about 6 hours.
Day 5
Yellow Valley - Timika
We will fly back to Timika in the morning by the helicopter.
Day 6
Leaving Timika
We will transfer you to the airport. End of the expedition.
Day 7
Extra day
Because the Helicopter can only fly in clear weather, so we need to add some extra days in case of bad weather.
