Everest Base camp Trek (15 Days Programs)

When most people think of Nepal the first thing that comes to mind is Mt Everest and its ever popular Everest Base Camp trek. The trek to Mount Everest base camp has become an achievable goal for people from all walks of life wanting a glimpse of the world’s highest mountain. After a flight to Lukla, you begin your trek. Along the way be surrounded by breathtaking scenery and experience the unique Sherpa culture by visiting monasteries and museums. An accent up to Kala Pattar (5545m) for sunrise will deliver an unbeatable view of the south face of Mt Everest along with many other peaks surrounding us. The mix of natural beauty, fascinating culture and a sense of personal achievement, make this trek one the most unforgettable in the world. Our trek has been designed with time for safe acclimatization; this is paramount to any successful trek in this region.

Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu (1320m). Our representative will be at airport with your name card. Once you grab him you will be heartily welcomed by him putting garland on your neck which means welcome to Nepal. Then you will be driven to the hotel by car. Rest and enjoy the day around the town.

Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley (Buddhanath, Pashupatinath, Patan Durbar Square and Swayambhnath Stupa) then after evening you will have meeting with Trekking guide who will support you for trekking preparation.

Day03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m) which takes approximately 30 minutes when you will have perfect seen of mountain range. And trek from Lukla to Phakding (2640m) about 4 hours. After having breakfast and rest in Lukla we head through stone paved trail toward Baisekharka. There are few up and downs to get in to the Phakding passing through plenty of prayer rocks which is called ‘Mani’ in local language.Once getting in the Phalding, fresh up and short walk around village and hike up to the Gompa for acclimatize.

Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) about 5 hours. After hot breakfast at your lodge, the trail leads towards the suspension bridge and easy uphill to the Monjo from where Sagarmatha National Park begins. After getting entry permit at park drop down to the river, cross another suspension bridge and continue walk to the high Hillary Bridge at the bottom of the hill. After the bridge the trail leads uphill to the Namche Bazzar. On the way you will have great view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. KusumKangru and more with beautiful valley.

Day 05: Rest at Namche Bazar for acclimatization and excursion around the places. Explore the local Museum, visit Khumjung village and Khongde village where you can enjoy the views of Mt. Everest and surroundings peaks with Sherpa culture. You can also visit Thamel which is old Sherpa village as an option but it is quite further. Remaining of the day you can explore NamcheBazzar and monastery as per your interest and time.

Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3867m) about 5 hours. After breakfast at the lodge, the trail leads short up towards ridge and easy way to Khyangjuma then descends slightly to Dudhkoshi River at 3250m. After that a steep ascent will bring you to the famous Tengboche monastery with its panoramic background of AmaDablam a beautiful mountain, Mt. Everest and other peaks.

Day 07:Trek fromTyangboche to Dingboche (4260m) about 5 hours. After breakfast we walk half an hour down to riverside through lush forest, across the river and take a gradual climb up to the valley highest year round settlement of Pangboche (3,860m). Continue ascending in the afternoon through alpine meadows and yak herds, eventually reaches Dingboche.

Day 08: Today again acclimatize at Dingboche as second acclimatize day on this trip. You might hike up to Chhukung towards to Island peak or explore Dingboche valley or hike up to ChhukungRi or relax.

Day 09:Trek from Dingboche to Labuche (4930m)about 4 hours. After breakfast at the lodge the trail leads through the valley and get in to the bottom of the hill from where uphill begins to get in to Dugla. After that the trail continues climb upto the ridge where you can see many memories of Sherpa who died on the glacier of Mount Everest. The trail gently climbs up to the Lobuche for overnight.

Day10: Trek from Labuche to Gorekshep (5180m) about 4 hours. The trail continues climb to Gorakshep, check in to lodge, after having lunch start to hike EBC to explore. This day leads you finally to the Everest Base Camp (5,357m) walking through rocky and glacial trails which is the most wonderful renowned place of this trek. After visiting the Everest Base Camp you will return to GorakShep overnight.

Day 11:Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m) about 6 hours. Early morning your door will be knocked by leader to wake up you and will take a dark climb up to the Kala Patthar. It takes a couple of hours to walk up to the famous viewing point of Kala Patthar (Black Rock) at (5,545m) this small peak offers the best views of Mt. Everest,Mt. Nuptse, Mt.Lhotse,Mt. Pumori and Mt.AmaDablam. The views are golden and spectacular along with sunrise and then back to its original color of white snow capped. Explore sunrise with Everest as long as you want then back to Gorekshep, breakfast and back down to Pheriche for overnight.

Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to NamcheBazaar about 5 hours.After breakfast at the lodge, the trail goes easy downhill through the dry valley till Pangboche village. Then the trail goes down to the riverside and cross a bridge and continues up through the pine forest to the Tengboche. The trail descends to the Dudhkoshi River and continues up to Khyungjuma. Finally an easy walk leads you to the NamcheBazzar for overnight where you will have really hot shower which is the best after few days having no shower.

Day 13:Trek from Namche to Lukla 5 hours. After breakfast at the lodge, the trail drops downhill through the pine forest till to the bridge and continue walk to the Monjo. After check out from the park check post continue walking to the Phakding for the lunch. After that your last day of the trek continues to the Lukla.

Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Normally flights are always in the morning due to the weather condition. Your guide will do all airport formalities by the time you can have a breakfast at the lodge. Your luggage will get in to the airport already with the help of our porters.You will be recall about your flight arrival at Lukla airport; will call you to watch how the small aircraft get lands in to the small airstrip. After quick photograph, get in to the airport and straight away get in to the plane to fly out to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel and enjoy.
