Gokyo Trekking

Gokyo Trek is begins from Lukla airport and passes through the beautiful Sherpa villages above the Dudh Koshi valley. Reaching the Sherpa town- Namche Bazaar, you find there the bustling life of the Sherpas and the surrounding communities fully loaded with the spiritual appeal of the colorful monasteries and chhortens. The views of Everest peaks at the horizon provoke you to go higher and be closer with those sceneries. The trail from Namche is a bit tougher, but if you manage the physical fitness and acclimatization then you can move up with a gradual walk. Confronting with the glacial lakes at the Gokyo valley, you can dream of a tiny heaven. More exciting part is again there when you climb up to the Gokyo Ri and explore the majestic peaks as Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Gokyo Peak and others. The Ngozumba glacier and the whole landscape are just stunning.

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY

Day 01: Our guide will welcome you at Kathmandu airport (1345meters)and transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu . Overnight at hotel.

Day 02:Fly to Tenzing and Hillary Airport in Lukla (2804 meters) from Kathmandu and trek to Phakding (2610 meters) 3-4 hours walk . Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 03:Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5-6 hours walk . Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 04:Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 05:Namche to Dole (4200meters) 5-6 hours walk. overnight at Guesthouse .

Day 06:Dole to Machharmo (4470meters), 4-5 hrs walk.overnight at Guesthouse .

Day 07:Machharmo to Gokyo (4800meters) 3-4 hrs walk.overnight at Guesthouse .

Day 08:Rest day at Gokyo and sigheen in Gokyo valley .overnigt at Guesthouse .

Day 09:Hike to Gokyo RI (5,330meters) and trek to Dole, 6-7 hrs walk.overnight at Guesthouse .

Day 10:Gokyo to Namche Bazaar or Monjo (2680meters) 5-6 hrs walk.

Day 11:Namche to Lukla (2,800meters ) 6-7 hrs walk.overnight at Guesthouse .

Day 12:Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu in the morning. Overnight at hotel.
