Friends! The White Peaks team wants to invite you to participate to an unusual, full of experiences and on budget trip to Nepal in November 2018.
The trek is easy and includes the most beautiful places with views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs. This trek is suitable for everyone, indifferently from age, physical condition or mountaineering experience.
The first part of our journey will begin in the capital of Nepal - Kathmandu, where we will stay in the Buddhist district of Bouddanath near one of the largest Buddhist stupa in the world. We will visit several large monasteries in Bouddanath and in its neighbourhood. We will visit Pashupatinath, the Hindu centre of Kathmandu, and assist a traditional ceremony of cremation. We will surely visit the tourist centre, Tamel, where you can buy necessary for trekking clothes or local souvenirs for your family.
From Kathmandu, we will reach, by bus, the second largest city of Nepal, Pokhara. Its tourist centre is located on the shore of Lake Feva, from where you can enjoy beautiful views on the Annapurna mountain range and Machapuchare.
The next day from Pokhara we will be transferred to the initial point of the walking phase of our trip.
The second part of the route will consist of a three-day trek that will take you to the most spectacular places in the Annapurna region. On the route we will go up to Pun Hill - the best viewpoint to the eight-thousand Annapurna-1 and Dhaulagiri and the sacred mountain of Machapuchare, after which we will go down to the village of Tatopani, where we will be waiting for hot springs.
The third part of our journey will begin in Tatopani. From Tatopani we will go, by local bus, to the colourful Tibetan village of Martha, and from there we will pass to the gate to Upper Mustang - Kabeni villages with ancient stupas and sculptures to the Buddhist religion of Tibet - Bon. From Kabbeni our way will pass through one more picturesque and old village of Jarkot and further to the final point of our journey - the village of Muktinath. In Muktinath, we descend radially into neighbouring villages, visit the Buddhist monastery and the Hindu sacred springs of Mukti-Dhar. Among other things, we will have the opportunity to steam out in the most real Russian Bath, the highest mountain bath in the world! From Muktinath in a jeep we will move to Jomsom and from there local airlines will fly to Pokhara.
This journey will be very impressive and full of experiences. And of course for all photographers, sunrise, sunset and night shoots are planned. Also a master class on landscape and night photography for everyone!
