Cortina d’Ampezzo is famous for its perfectly groomed slopes, tourist infrastructure and the impressive mountain panorama. However, they are not the only breathtaking things here. Nature reserves and national parks, combined with the hospitality and artistic tradition of the Ampezzo Valley, attracts visitors from around the world at any time of year.

However, today we’ll try to get away from the crowded ski slopes and enjoy skiing in nature. We will start our route early in the morning as we have a day full of adventures. Our trail leads from Cortina to the foot of such peaks as Civetta, Pelmo, Tofane, Lagazuoi, Conturines, Settsass, Sassongher, Sella and Marmolada. Ascent is relatively easy and safe, there are no steep slopes covered with hard snow and ice. It’s not very difficult route with stunning views. Despite that you should have a minor experience in ski tour and off-piste skiing to take the most out of it.

After a long way we will have a rest and then finally start the descent. The slopes of this route are wonderful and suitable for everyone. Descent from Lagazuoi to Armentarola is really spectacular as well as the longest slope of the Dolomites which descends from Punta Rocca to Malga Ciapela.
