The New Year 2020 celebration in the Mountains of Georgia!
Winter climbing Kazbek! If you would like to test your strength and endurance on a winter mountaineering then Kazbek is the best option to start.
It is a dormant volcano with a height of 5033 m. One of the major and highest peaks of the Caucasus. From Georgian: Mqinvartsveri, or Glacier Peak.
Summiting by classical route with a complexity grade 2A (II UIAA). Ascend route is started from a Stepantsminda (St. Stephen) village in Georgian province Khevi.
With extensive experience on many peaks of the Caucasus, Pamir, Tien Shan in the high mountains 7000+ (Lenin peak 7134m, Khan-Tengri 7010m). In particular on Kazbek, we have been climbing since 2012 at any time of the year (summer, autumn, winter) and For 6 years in a row, we celebrate the New Year on this peak. Why it? It is breathtaking and eye catching peak! Winter climbing is a new experience and would be very similar to the conditions of the summer ascending on 7000 meters peaks in the Pamir. Excellent training and testing of your equipment and readiness for more serious peaks.

PROGRAM
DAY 1
Meeting in Tbilisi, moving to the village of Stepantsminda. Accommodation in the Guesthouse. Group meeting, acquaintance, analysis of equipment and products.
DAY 2
We reach the Trinity Church on a vehicle. Transition to the Camp 1 at the pass Sabertse 3000 m. Overnight stop.
DAY 3
Transition to the shelter at the Weather Station (3700 m).
Depends on a weather, it is possible to climb higher on the overnight Crosses (3900 m).
One of these points will be our Assault Camp.
DAY 4
Acclimatization day.
Acclimatization climbing to 4000-4200 meters. We will provide you a winter skills lesson at this altitude.
Descending to the Assault Camp. Early dinner and lights out.
DAY 5
Climbing to the top of 5033 m. The most important day of our program. Early waking up and start of the ascent.
Summiting of the Kazbek.
Descent to the assault camp.
DAY 6
Reserved day, in case of bad weather conditions.
DAY 6/7
Descent to the village of Stepantsminda. Overnight in the hostel.
DAY 7/8
Check out the home.
Note*:
The program is not final and may be adjusted depending on the weather, the condition of the participants and other factors.
INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:

* Accommodation in the guesthouse of Stepantsminda village 1 night
* Meals on a climbing route days.
