Starting point: Parkplatz Vorderer Gosausee (933m), ascent along the Gosauseen and over the steep slope behind the Hinterer See to the Adamekhütte. From here over debris and rocky slopes right of the glacier karst to the glacier. Entry to about 2500m. Over the very column-rich glacier .To the west ridge entry at the Scharte. Via the via ferrata (B - with set or rope safety device), depending on conditions, also with crampons to the summit. Descent via ascent path. On the descent can be crossed to about 2300hm north to get to an impressive glacier gate. Dachstein Peak 2997m

From Salzburg on the A10 Highway to Exit Golling, than via Abtenau to Gosau on bundestraße 162 und 166 till Gosau, there turn right and drive till the Gosausee. There are parking slots and the startpoint for the tour
