    The Alps are an international center of any kind of outdoor activities. Every year this mountain range is visited by about 50 million people and still it doesn't lost the pristine beauty. Even the local climbers anytime can open here some new horizons. There are many peaks and routes of varying technical difficulty for people with any level of alpine technical skills. All areas can be easily reached by trains or cars. There are plenty of opportunities to stay in campsites in the valleys and in the huts in the mountains. There is a wide range of cartographic material and guidebooks for all of the areas as well.

    The Alps are the highest mountain range in Eastern Europe which covers a large area. Unlike from many other earth mountain ranges consisted of a few of subdivisional elements the Alps have a huge number of subdivisions ranges, massifs, ridge valleys and plateaus.

    The Alps stretches from the Mediterranean Sea to Danube Basin. They are framed by Apennines and Carpathian Mountains. Eastern Carpathian Mountains lie just 14 kilometers off the Western Alps.
