Climbing Kilimanjaro - it is an opportunity to climb the highest peak of the African continent. In addition it is one of the easiest mountains in the world, where you can reach a height of almost 6 kilometers. Climbing the Andes or the Himalayas at the same height would require special climbing equipment and technical skills, and it would take at least 2 weeks.

The mountain, which is well-known as volcano Kilimanjaro actually called Kibo. Kibo is a one of three craters of massif Kilimanjaro and the other two are Mawenzi and Shira. There are a few peaks along the edges of the Kibo crater. The highest of them is Uhuru Peak. Thus, the Uhuru Peak (5895 meters) is the most elevated point of the African continent. Kilimanjaro volcano is a part of the project "7 Summits". The mountain is on the border of Tanzania and Kenya, but by an agreement between the two countries there is only one route starts in Kenya, all other climbing only allowed from Tanzania only. On the part of Kenya there is lack of the necessary infrastructure and police stations for preventing of unauthorised climbing. There are 6 official standard routes for climbing Kibo, and one special route for the descent. Besides there are more complex routes, which require special equipment (such as the "Polish Glacier", "Western gap" or "Barranco").
