Your Chance To Edit

Mount Stanley is third highest in Africa (after Mount Kilimanjaro and Kenya). Ruwenzori are the few tectonic mountains, located in Africa. They are the legendary Mountains of the Moon, clouded in mystery and drizzly mist, which are referred to ancient geography as the source of the Nile.
Here are some of the highest mountains in Africa - 4th and 5th in height. At the top there are some glaciers, which are closely observed by scientists - as snow of Ruwenzori is rapidly melting.

Description Edit

Ngaliema or Mount Stanley is the highest mountain of both the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, and the third highest in Africa. Mt. Stanley consists of two twin summits and several lower peaks. The mountain has glaciers. At the moment the glaciers begin higher than Elena Hut (4600 m). Climbing requires the use of ropes and crampons.
