Ama Dablam definitely can be considered as a highlight in the record list of any climber. Ama Dablam is located at the Sagarmatha National Park. "Mother's necklace" (nepali name) is one of the most popular Himalayan mountain. There are amazing trekking to Ama Dablam's Base Camp as well as several permitted routes for climbs.

Like most Himalayan journeys the way to Ama Dablam starts from the capital of Nepal. You can take a regular flight from Kathmandu and in an hour land in Lukla village - where the route to Everest Base Camp begins. Same route you use to reach Pangboche village. Ama Dablam Base Camp is located next to Pangboche and can be reached in 3-4 days from the start point in Lukla.

You can get all the climbing and National Park permits by yourself in the Nepal Tourism Ministry or ask help from numbers of local travel agencies. Keep in mind that you will need to pay a refundable garbage deposit as well.
