The highest mountain range in the northern part of Africa, with tops snow-covered tops during winter. The western part of the mountain system is the highest one - there are dozens of mountains higher than 3,000 meters and a dozen peaks above 4,000. The Atlas Mountain region has three distinct ranges, known as the Middle, High, and Anti-Atlas. Mountain system also includes the plateau and the plains between the mountain ranges.
