Mountain system in the South Caucasus, is a system of ridges, volcanic highlands and plateaus. For Lesser Caucasus characterized by smaller, compare to Great Caucasus glaciation. And it is much lower - peaks do not exceed 4000 m. It is connected to the Greater Caucasus by the Likhi Range and separated from it by the Kolkhida Lowland in the West and Kura Depression in the East. Limits the Armenian Highland from the North and North-East.
