Full description
The Darkot Pass, a historic and strategic route between Central Asia and the sub-continent, is the main focus of this trek. We start from Gilgit, the administrative capital of Pakistan’s Northern Areas, and from here turn north towards the Darkot Pass. After Darkot we spend several days walking along the Wakhan corridor with excursions to the Broghil and Shahjinali passes on the Afghan border. Then we enter Chitral including an excursion to visit the fabled Kalash people before crossing into the beautiful Swat Valley. The tour ends in the legendary city of Peshawar, the capital of the KPK Province.
Price includes
- Accommodation on twin-share basis at standard category hotels in towns, 2-person dome tent during trek.
- Meals: half board at hotels, full board during trek
- Transport: Air-conditioned transport and soft-top 4x4 jeeps to trek head & trek end
- Camping Facilities: 2-person dome tents with mattresses, dining tent with folding table & chairs, kitchen tent and staff, toilet tent.
- Porterage of 15kg during trek. Tips & Porterage at airport & hotels, entrance fee at sites & museums
- English speaking guide.
