In Annapurna massif there is an Machapuchare mountain (6998 m) (also Machapuchre "Fishtail") - which is revered by the locals as the home of Shiva. Climbing are prohibited. Mountain owes its name "Fishtail" by form of two peaks - viewed from the west, they form a shape resembling the tail of a giant fish. Feathers of snow on the slopes of smoke are considered divine essence of Shiva.
