2,000 kg solid waste collected from Mt Everest region
Two-thousand kilograms of solid waste has been collected from Mt Everest region under the Sagarmatha Cleaning Campaign.
Of the total amount of garbage collected, 1,000 kg was taken to Kathmandu and another 1,000 kg to Okhaldhunga in a Nepali Army helicopter for disposal, according to Sagarmatha National Park. Locally manageable waste was taken care of at the Namche region itself.
