Bodies of climbers found in Himalayas 30 years after they disappeared
The bodies of Kristinn Runarsson and Thorsteinn Gudjonsson from Iceland were found at the bottom of a glacier by an American climber three decades after their doomed expedition.
The Scottish mountaineer Steve Aisthorpe spent weeks looking for the pair after they went missing during an October 1988 expedition to climb Pumori, which is 7,161 metres high and has spoken of the"closure" that has been provided by the discovery of the bodies.
