This morning 8:30 AM Kami Rita Sherpa made 22 successful ascents of Mt. Everest as a part of Seven Summit Treks Everest Expedition!
8:30AM on 16th, May 2018 (Nepal time), Kami Rita summited the higest peak Everest (8,848m) for 22 times and broke the world record titled “Most ascents of Everest - Male.”
“Kami Rita being the lead climbing guide for the Seven Summit Treks expedition has scripted a history on the roof of the world,” Sherpa told THT.
According to the base camp officials, Kami Rita started his summit push from Camp IV with nine other Chinese climbers on Tuesday night and reached on Wednesday morning.
Last year, Sherpa climbed Mt Everest for the 21st time tying him with Apa Sherpa and Phurba Tashi Sherpa for the world record.
Kami Rita has already climbed most of the peaks above 8,000 m including K2, Cho-oyu, Lhoste and Annapurna among others. “All climbers have now been descending to the lower camps safely.”
